Bernard was raised in the heart of Vancouver and had always been a competitive athlete since high school. He was never someone who interested in training with heavy weights but instead he enjoys cardio training much more.
As he matured into his University years, it was his first introduced to a regular global gym with his workout buddies. Unlike other bodybuilders, he did not hit the gym regularly. His instinct told him that there was more out there then just static workout with weights.
His search went on for training programs from YouTube and the Internet looking for something that combines both weights and cardio training until he had stumbled upon CrossFit by one of his close friends.

After a short year of training, the results were astounding, seeing huge improvements from flexibility to strength. Moving back to Hong Kong to stay close to his family he was able to build his passion further and share with many others now in Hong Kong with Fitness Playground HK.

Bryan Chau started training Muay Thai when he was 18 years old. He not only learned the Muay Thai boxing skills but he also learned that there is no pain no gain. He maintained the same mentality when he started body building training 3 years later.
After 5 years of training, he became a licensed personal trainer. He then dedicated most of his time to body building and strength training until his brother, Bernard, introduced him to CrossFit.
He realized that the CrossFit programming is a very well-rounded program which can help anyone improve phsical weaknesses super efficiently. Bryan then shared this new CrossFit training programs to his training buddies and existing clients and began his outdoor CrossFit coaching.

Wil Wong was first introduced to CrossFit from his cousins. As a competitive basketball and soccer player, his cousins introduce Crossfit to him because they know it will improve his overall fitness level very effectively. Shortly after training for 3 months he instantly fell in love with CrossFit. He found tremendous improvement to his physique, and also helped enhace his own coaching sessions for a High School Sports team local in Hong Kong. As he saw the benefits crossfit was able to bring, he devoted more time to grow this passion, and joined the Fitness Playground Team to spread his love for CrossFit.

Peter joined Fitness Playground HK in 2018 as a member and quickly became one of the coaches with just a year of training. Peter’s goal is to become a high-level athlete and to participate in bigger CrossFit tournaments in the nearly future. He loves the community in Fitness Playground and is very keen to assist his clients to achieve their fitness goals.

Vivienne was a figure skater growing up and through her teen. She represented Hong Kong multiple times in Skate Asia back then. Alongside figure skating, she also competed track and field events in national level.
Vivienne has started weight training since 2012 and found her passion in Powerlifting and started competing in local and Asia events, she was 5 times Hong Kong Powerlifting champion and also a former Hong Kong Powerlifting record holder.
Her interest in CrossFit started in 2018 and she is always passionate about finding new ways to improve herself. From competition to coaching CrossFit, her recent performance is placed 9th overall in China in the CrossFit Quarterfinal in 2022.
